If you’ve taken a winter break it is time to get back into the game and on your feet. Here are four easy tips to get you started:
(1) Remember to always start slow. Don’t expect to be able to run a 5K the first day back
(2) Stretch before and after your run or workout. Pulled muscles are common injuries when restarting a training program or when ramping up
(3) Listen to your body – do not push through the pain
(4) Drink lots of water – it’s important to stay well hydrated even when it is cold out
